Program to fix disk problem: http://thaines.com/content/fix_disk_overrun.py Steps to prepare computer: * So students can't walk over Windows partition once booted into Linux: 1. Remove side (one screw) 2. Unplug SSD hardrive (but leave in case) - its sideways, below GPU, near front. 3. Reattach side. 4. Insert USB drive. * Make computer boot from USB drives: 5. Switch on computer. 6. Hammer F10 (might be escape, not sure). 7. Hit enter when it complains. 8. You should enter the bios menu - password is H0und012 (0 after capital H. Do not share with anyone!). 9. Advanced -> Bios settings (from memory - might have names slightly wrong): - Change timeout to 5 seconds (so you have time to hit F9 below). - Disable fast boot (so it actually checks USB drives, rather than skipping straight to Windows). - Disable warning beep (it annoys me alright?) 10. Save and reboot. * Into Linux: 11. When it complains hit enter, then immediately after (within 5 second window set above) hit F9. 12. Select the Sandisk USB drive, legacy boot option. If it doesn't appear reboot - sometimes it's stupid. 13. When Linux has booted cross off the warnings - nobody cares.
